The PAC focuses on giving voice to the over 13,000 adults served by RCOC by gathering information about what is important to them, advocating on their behalf about those issues, helping organize events that expand their knowledge, and helping them develop self-advocacy and leadership skills.
RCOC Board member, Yvonne Klutz, is the Chairperson of the Peer Advisory Committee (PAC). Other members include Marcell Bassett, Stephen Gersten, Kerri Adamic, Sylvia Delgado, Amy Jessee, Peter Kuo, Fernando Pena, and Cheryl Day.
PAC members created a visual representation of their purpose statement to be easily understood by everyone.
We are excited about the Peer Advisory Committee and we hope you are too!

Peer Advocacy
An important role and critical function of the Regional Center of Orange County is to advocate on behalf of people with developmental disabilities and their families.
RCOC employs a Peer Advocate that individuals with developmental disabilities can contact with questions or concerns. In addition, the Center supports families with special education advocacy services throughout a child’s school-age years and connects families with other advocacy organizations.
RCOC’s Peer Advocate
RCOC’s Peer Advocate advocates for the people served by RCOC and provides information about issues related to self-advocacy and rights. They also assist RCOC with implementing person-centered practices and assessing the quality of life issues and satisfaction with RCOC services and supports.
If you have questions or concerns that you would like to discuss with RCOC’s Peer Advocate, you can reach them at peeradvocate@rcocdd.com.
