Vendor Advisory Committee

The Vendor Advisory Committee (VAC) is comprised of individuals representing various categories of providers from which the RCOC purchases services. VAC representatives are appointed by the RCOC Board of Directors and, in accordance with Welfare and Institutions Code, § 4622 (i), the VAC annually elects one of its appointed representatives to serve as the VAC Chairperson and concurrently represent VAC as a member of the RCOC Board of Directors.

The purpose of the VAC is to provide advice, guidance, recommendations, and technical assistance on matters relating to the provision of services to the persons served by RCOC.

Goals of the VAC

* Participate in the development, review, evaluation, and dissemination of policies, regulations, and best practices relating to the provision of services to people with developmental disabilities.
* Participate in the review and discussion of the changing support needs of persons with developmental disabilities and in the technical assistance needs of vendors.
* Participate in the development, administration, and evaluation of community-based standards of quality for services and supports provided by the vendor community.

The VAC typically meets on the second Tuesday of the month and meetings are listed on RCOC’s Events Calendar.
